I heard Joanne received my redwork exchange for the SBEBB! This one I had real hard times to part from... I really loved it myself! I hope to stitch it another time for me! This is the pinkeep I made for Joanne: Design: Miniature Tulipe - L'r de Rien Fabric: 28 ct. Cashel linen Antique White Floss: Gloriana Silk "Poinsettia" Finish: pinkeep This is the back of the pinkeep: And here is the whole exchange: Somehow I managed to collect all perfect matching items. Look at the postcard! I knew right away that it belongs to this exchange.

Some things to show you

Just before we left on vacation, I finished the stitching on my RR-piece. We're doing a Round Robin with 6 members of our Dutch Borduurhoekje-group, and I decided to turn mine into a kind of Neighbourhood RR. Anyway this is what I stitched on it: I stitched "Trifle from a friend" by Blackbird Designs with WDW threads. I changed the text of the original design into "Where friends gather". The fabric is a 32 ct. Jobelan (I think) which I tortured with coffee, tea and a microwave ;) September 1st it's going to Bianca , who's the next in line. Yesterday-evening I finished my holiday-project: It's "My Needle's Work" from Little House Needleworks. Stitched with Crescent Colours threads on 28 ct. Vintage linen. I'm not sure what I will make of it... I'm thinking of a bag, but I have to find a nice pattern for that. If you're interested: the chart and left-over threads are up for trading! 4 of the 7 Crescent Colours threads are stil

At least, that's what it felt like, when I came home from my vacation! There were several packages waiting for me, to be opened. First of all, there was the Summer Needleroll from Iris , for the Borduurhoekje exchange. Iris made me this wonderful needleroll: I have no clue from which designer this is! Will you tell us that, Iris? Iris also included some goodies: some charts from my wishlist, some floss and a card she made herself. Iris, thank you so much for this great exchange! Than I opened up a big box from the USA. It was the SBEBB Redwork exchange from Donna . Donna made me my first hornbook! Isn't it gorgeous?! She told me it was a freebie from Mon Ami Pierre, stitched with Belle Soie silk "Cranberry". And Donna also sent me a lot of fun stuff: I really felt like a kid on Christmas Eve, while opening all these presents! Thank you so much Donna!!! Last (but not least), there was another package from Belgium. It was the matchbox from the Crazy exchange matchbox sw

Hey! from Denmark

DH brought his new Eee-PC (small laptop) with him to Denmark, and we have a internet-connection in our beach house, so I thought I should write a blog! Legoland was great! DS had the best time of his life :) Although after two days his mam and dad couldn't see another Legobrick anymore... Skallerup Klitt is a wonderful place. It's so close to the beach! Gives me a real Summer feeling! Although the wetter is not really Summer-like ( about 20 degrees Celsius and cloudy)... But it's so nice to walk out of the house and walk straight to the beach in a few minutes. We've already collected lots of shells and stones ;) Yesterday we went to Skagen . It's the most Northern place of Denmark. The land ends here in a small stroke in the sea, where both the North Sea (Skagerrak) and the East Sea (Kattegat) come together. It's quit spectacular to see. There was even a little seal swimming around!!! Today we're going to make a long walk over the beach and through the dunes

Denmark here we come!

Tomorrow we're leaving for a ten day holiday to Denmark! First we're going to visit Legoland. Must be wonderful for a seven year old Lego-addict, to spend two full days in the park! And after that we're travelling North to Nord-Jutland, where we've rented a house in the dunes, near the sea. See you later!!! Hugs, Simone

Each quarter I receive a surprise package from Atelier Bep . Last quarter it was a package for a mini-quilt. But I don't know where to hang the next wallhanging! So I decided to make it into a pillow: Of course I made some adjustments to it. But I'm very happy with the result!

I heard some of my exchanges have been received. First of all Chantal's birthday exchange of the Borduurhoekje group. Chantal recently started to collect Pincushions, so it wasn't hard to decide what I should make for her. I've sent her one of my sheep: And I made her a pincushion (Chantal is also font of Tea): Design: (part of) The Tea Room - Country Cottage Needlework Fabric: 36 ct. Natural Irish Linen Floss: DMC Finish: Pin Pillow We also had a Summer-Needleroll exchange on the Borduurhoekje. This is the one I made for Bianca : Design: freebee from The Rainbow gallery Fabric: 32 ct. Linen Floss: DMC Finish: Needleroll I'm currently stitching on my RR, which starts on September 1st. Hopefully I manage to finish it before we go on holiday, next wednesday.
